We are proud to unveil the new U8 Deluxe Markus Reuter Special Editions. A refined reproduction of the groundbreaking original U8 design, developed in collaboration between Markus Reuter and renowned luthier Ed Reynolds back in 2008. This new series brings the vision full circle, combining the elegant ergonomic shaping of the original with state-of-the-art upgrades and modern craftsmanship.
Built entirely in the new Touch Guitars® workshop in Nettetal, Germany, these instruments reflect a commitment to sonic excellence, comfort, and contemporary design. Each U8 Deluxe Special Edition features:
- Basswood body with advanced contouring for optimal balance and playability
- 8-strings extended range touch style guitar with Bb F C G D A C D tuning
- Maple neck for clarity and stability
- Bog Oak or Plumwood fretboard
- Custom pickup by Nova, designed specifically for the unique tonal demands of touch-style playing
- Custom-designed tuners and bridge for maximum tuning stability and refined intonation
- Volume and tone controls – passive
