Jaakko Peltonen

Jaakko Peltonen (b. 1986 in Helsinki, Finland) is a musician and luthier currently based in central Finland. Jaakko started off with drums as 8-year old and made music throughout his childhood. He later gravitated to bass. After a number of years studying musicology at university he switched to studying bass guitar and upright bass at the conservatory of Jyväskylä and graduated in 2013. After a longtime interest in touchstyle instruments, Jaakko took up playing the Touch Guitar in 2016. He has worked as a freelancer on many music-related fields: as a bass player, percussionist, producer, recording and mixing engineer, and luthier. After finishing his luthier studies at Ikaalinen College Of Crafts And Design in mid 2019, Jaakko is focusing on his own music composition again.
