A New Chapter for the U8 Deluxe
This Touch Guitars U8 Deluxe features a real stone top which is ultra-thin, keeping the instrument lightweight while adding a unique look and feel. Combined with a mahogany body, a 3-piece korina/purple heart/korina neck, and purple heart fretboard, it delivers clarity, warmth, and stability.
Together with Till from Nova Pickups and Joris Henke, we implemented a new filter preamp system inspired by boutique bass electronics. The slanted full-range pickups are highly transparent, with minimal coloration. Each pickup has its own filter with a push-push +8 dB boost at the selected frequency, and you can seamlessly blend between them.
A push-push high boost on the blend knob adds brilliance above 4 kHz for an almost acoustic-like top end.
Powered by a custom unit from Hubert at Vaudoo Audio (France), this setup defines the new standard for the active U8 Deluxe.
